Two deaths in Puglia due to wind.
A 12-year-old girl died in Bisceglie , near Bari, after being struck by a falling tree in the street due to strong winds . After the alarm was raised, the victim, Alicia Amoruso , was rescued by emergency personnel, but her heart stopped beating during the ambulance ride to the emergency room of the city hospital.
The other tragedy occurred in Taranto, where a 38-year-old worker, Roberto Di Ponzio, was hit by a power pole that also collapsed due to strong winds. Rescue efforts were unsuccessful.
