A car struck two young men, killing one, and fled the scene. It happened overnight in Guidonia Montecelio, near Rome. The Carabinieri are investigating the incident.

According to reconstructions, the car hit the two boys who were walking on the side of the road after leaving a local bar, and then continued on its way and disappeared.

A 23-year-old Italian student died despite the resuscitation efforts of emergency medical personnel. The other student, the same age, was injured.
