Tragedy at work in Rosarno, in the province of Reggio Calabria.

A 38-year-old construction worker has died after falling from scaffolding. It is a citizen of Romanian origin, who has long been resident in the Calabrian town.

From what we learn, the accident occurred during a restoration operation on a building in via Nazionale.

Rescue efforts were useless, alerted by colleagues: the man died instantly.

The police and labor inspectors are investigating the affair and to reconstruct the exact dynamics of what happened.

Another fatal accident at work occurred in Sicily, in the industrial area of Syracuse. Victim is a 59-year-old, originally from Catania , engaged, according to an initial reconstruction, in an operation to load and unload sand from a vehicle within a company in Augusta. It seems that the worker, for reasons to be ascertained, lost his balance and then fell to the ground, hitting his head. Again, attempts to save his life were in vain.
