She castrated her husband: now she, 35, is in prison in Salerno, he, 41, is hospitalized in serious conditions at the Umberto I hospital in Nocera Inferiore.

This is what happened on the afternoon of May 1st in Angri, in the province of Salerno.

The protagonists of this dramatic incident are a couple from Bangladesh. The Carabinieri of the Nocera Inferiore Territorial Unit are investigating the case. Under the direction of Commander Gianfranco Albanese, they have conducted an initial reconstruction of what happened. The suspicion is that the man was first drugged, as he reported feeling very drowsy during lunch.

Later, while he was sleeping, the 35-year-old woman cut him and castrated him. The 41-year-old managed to call for help from neighbors, who alerted 118. Carabinieri from the Angri station then arrived on the scene and began an investigation.

The investigation, coordinated by the prosecutor of the Nocera Inferiore Public Prosecutor's Office, Gianluca Caputo, led to the arrest of the woman, charged with attempted murder for the very serious injuries she caused.
