Sardinia has decided to leave the regional Irpef surtax unchanged at 1.23 per cent for 2022, maintaining the deductions envisaged as early as 2019 and implementing a series of extraordinary measures aimed at counteracting the effects on the economic and social system of the COVID-19.

Furthermore, the deductions for dependent children and for those with different abilities have been confirmed: parents with a taxable income not exceeding 55 thousand euros and with dependent minor children are entitled to a tax deduction equal to 200 euros for each child, in proportion the percentage and months dependent, increased by 100 euros for each child with different abilities.

"Despite the difficulties related to the pandemic, we had set out not to intervene on the taxation of Sardinian families. We went further by intervening with measures that could annihilate the effects of the crisis for businesses and support the various sectors of our economy. The tax burden, as well as an act of equity, is part of a government plan aimed at safeguarding Sardinian families and creating the conditions for recovery ", said Governor Christian Solinas.

"We have decided not to burden the citizens, already in difficulty due to the consequences of the pandemic from an economic point of view, if anything, putting in place a series of measures aimed at creating development and breaking down the isolation wall that unfortunately characterizes some territories", commented the councilor of the Budget Giuseppe Fasolino, speaking of the economic measures adopted also with the latest financial statement.

"Among the aid schemes envisaged for businesses, the non-repayable grants and the planning fund aimed at municipalities are certainly of particular importance. With the resources destined for young couples and those who start a business in a small municipality in Sardinia we intervene on the depopulation and isolation of the territories, confirming the measures on the job we instead favor hiring, without forgetting the investments in the social sector and in the right to health, which are part of that 'quality of life' system that must become our Island both for Sardinians and for those who want to invest or live in Sardinia ", he concluded.
