In June , Italy will return to the field for two friendlies, with Silvio Baldini leading the Azzurri in the matches against Luxembourg and Greece .
The Under 21 coach will take charge of the national team on Wednesday 3 June (8.45 pm) at the Stade de Luxembourg against Luxembourg and on Sunday 7 June (8.45 pm) at the Pankritio Stadium in Heraklion, on the island of Crete, for another friendly against Greece.
Baldini was appointed interim coach after Gattuso resigned following the Bosnian defeat that eliminated the Azzurri from the World Cup for the third consecutive time.
According to rumours, Baldini is expected to let the exhausted players go at home at the end of a long season and promote "his" under-21 players , alongside other youngsters already in the senior national team such as Palestra and Pio Esposito.
