The governor spoke by videoconference in a meeting on the future of the Union in island and cohesion policies. He recalled that 20 million people live in the islands, equal to 5% of the European population, and "one cannot ignore this".

Solinas specified that the Region is committed on various institutional fronts: "The Italian one where we are carrying out a battle for the recognition of insularity in the Constitution as a disadvantage factor, while at the European level we have been asking for the full implementation of Article 174 of the Treaty, which takes the form of a strategy for the Islands ".
" No one must be left behind is a nice motto, we ask that it also applies to us", the conclusion of the Sardinian governor.
