The case of the Insularity funds , a total of 166 million for the years 2021 and 2022, collected by the Sardinia Region and allocated without distinction to the entire regional budget, lands in Parliament, in the competent Bicameral Commission.

Governor Christian Solinas was summoned by Tommaso Calderone (Fi) , president of the body that brings together Sardinian and Sicilian deputies and senators: the appointment is for Wednesday 4 October at 1.45 pm in the Chamber .

Solinas' speech is part of a series of hearings already scheduled on issues related to the gaps that divide the two largest Italian islands, which will be followed by that of the president of the special commission on Insularity of the Sardinian Regional Council, Michele Cossa, and those of the representatives regional regions of Sicily.

Wednesday's meeting will be the place to address the issue raised in recent days by the Court of Auditors, Sardinia section, which in its judgment of equalization of the 2022 budget criticized the Region for the delay of the specific technical-political table, which should have specifically define the interventions to rebalance the gaps.

Assigning these resources indiscriminately to the financing of the entire regional budget without indicating a specific destination - wrote the Court - is equivalent to not implementing any concrete measures to facilitate the movement of goods and people.
