Paulo Dybala's season ended on Sunday in Roma-Cagliari. After being injured following a play, less than ten minutes after entering the field, the striker is forced to undergo surgery - in the next few days - for a lesion of the left semitendinosus tendon .
The player and the club have mutually decided that surgery was the right way to ensure optimal recovery from the injury. Recovery times must be assessed, and will not be very short: Dybala will only be able to return next season . The player is evaluating with the Friedkins where to perform the surgery: the decision was made after further tests carried out in the last few hours, which highlighted how conservative therapy would not have guaranteed the same effectiveness as surgery.
"Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Paulo, we're waiting for you!", Roma's message for Dybala. With the player himself adding, via Instagram: "Even though I'll be away from the pitch for a while, I'll continue to support my Roma teammates in this crucial phase of the championship and our national team , which I'll follow like one more fan during these qualifying matches. I'll be back soon, even stronger, I promise. See you on the pitch! Forza Roma and Vamos Argentina!"
