Today, in the Regional Council building in via Roma, the figure of Luigi Cogodi, a Sardinian politician who passed away in 2015, was remembered. A well-attended meeting during the presentation of the book "Il verde + rosso". Several politicians and friends remembered him as a man of great integrity and commitment, whose legacy should still inspire Sardinian politics today.

Piero Comandini, president of the Regional Council, opened the speeches, underlining the importance of the day and the appropriateness of the place to remember Cogodi. «Luigi was a redhead who made noise» , he said, underlining Cogodi's determination to defend his beliefs and make the revolutions necessary for the good of Sardinia. The councilor for education Ilaria Portas, however, highlighted the need to pass on the memory of Cogodi to the new generations. "He left his mark" , he said, inviting us to renew our commitment to a new political season that is able to defend and acquire new rights and recalling the importance of an active and inclusive policy that is able to respond to current needs.

The mayor of Cagliari, Massimo Zedda , shared personal and professional anecdotes, recalling the challenges faced together during the 2011 campaign for the Municipality of Cagliari. He underlined the importance of Cogodi's commitment to environmental and labor issues: "issues that remain current and crucial for the future of Sardinia" . Elia Cogodi, Luigi's son, spoke of the intense political passion that invaded their family, describing an environment of continuous discussions and reflections. Massimo Dadea reflected on the relevance of Cogodi's thought, defining it as "modern and visionary." He highlighted the combination of autonomy and rebirth that characterized his political action and recalled how Cogodi was the first to demolish the houses of the powerful on the coasts, an action that marked a turning point in environmental protection in Sardinia.

Antonello Cabras spoke of the extraordinary labor plan, one of Cogodi's most revolutionary initiatives, and of his disappointment with how that plan was subsequently treated. Cabras underlined Cogodi's ability to develop and propose ideas that inevitably placed him at the center of the political scene. Finally, Alberto Sechi closed the speeches by recalling Cogodi's political action as an example of commitment and future vision. He underlined the importance of the thought of Antonio Gramsci, who inspired Cogodi , inviting today's left to start from there to build a stronger and more cohesive Sardinian community. Sechi invited today's politicians to collect the political and cultural legacy of Cogodi to start a new constituent phase of Sardinian autonomy. The memory of Luigi Cogodi was not only a tribute to his figure, but also a call to action for a Sardinia that knows how to combine autonomy, progress and social justice.
