A great parade of Sardinian masks will enliven the streets of the city center of Porto Torres. The event included in the Summer Turritana billboard, scheduled for next Saturday 12 August, is organized by the local Pro Loco tourist association chaired by Anna Maria Zara, with the patronage of the Turritan Municipality.

The event entitled "Maschara" foresees a long procession, starting from 8 pm along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, with the groups of the Mamuthones and Isshoadores of Mamoiada, the Sos Merdules Bezzos of Otzana, Sas Mascheras Limpias of the Pro Loco of Fonni, Tumbarinos of Gavoi, Gigantes di Sennori, the folk group Intragnas and the folk group Etnos, both from Porto Torres.

A cultural event that recounts the traditions and origins of a people, but also a moment of conviviality and togetherness and an opportunity for tourists to see the greatest masks of the island gathered together for a very suggestive show. The initiative is also a strong reminder of the identity and historical tradition that attracts visitors from all over the country.
