Violence against women, an abuse that we must learn to recognize and discuss. With simple words, with comparison and, even more strongly, with music.
In the latest single by the "B Brothers", the brothers Domenico and Alberto Bazzoni, artists born and raised in Porto Torres, a clear and strong message flows against the profound humiliation towards women that goes beyond the physical dimension.
The video clip entitled "In silence" is dedicated to Alina Cossu, the 21-year-old girl brutally killed in 1988, a case still without a culprit recognized by justice which shocked the city of Porto Torres.
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of his death, the project written and arranged by the musical duo, in collaboration with the Coro Polifonico Turritano, will be presented to the public on Saturday 25 November at the Parodi theatre, during an event organized by Fidapa.
Silence is the central topic, words like liberation, like refusal and civil resistance.
The piece of music talks about feminicide, behind which lies the massacre that gives us hundreds of victims every year. Too many.
«We created this project with passion and for the need to give voice to a judicial case that had remained unpunished», explains Domenico Bazzoni. Adding: «Words that came from our hearts and from the citizens, a text presented to the Cossu family who gave us the authorization to present it to the public. So we turned to the Fidapa association to ask if they wanted to embrace the project and, therefore, be part of the production of the song."
In the song it is a parent who speaks to a daughter taken away by a murderer, a mother and a father who in life will always look for a reason to keep her memory alive. And that they will seek justice, always. The project also features the voice of singer Federico Marras Perantoni and the narrative voice of Tommy Rossi.
