In Olbia, in Piazzetta Santa Croce, the "Sentieri Sonori" festival returns. Now in its fifth edition, the exhibition organized by "Mediterrarte" has always been a discovery of sounds from all over the world; this year the stages of the musical journey will pass the borders of the Mediterranean to reach Brazil.

Three evenings of music starting on June 30 with the artist Carol Mello: voice, guitar and percussion directly from San Paolo, the multi-instrumentalist brings her suggestive project "A-cor-da" to the stage, composed of original songs and rearranged versions of minor classics of the Brazilian tradition. On July 1st it will be the turn of the Fabio Melis Trio, with the musician from Sorso playing launeddas, Giannicola Spezzigu on bass and Simone Argiolas on diatonic accordion and cajon. Melis, a profound connoisseur and researcher of traditional Sardinian music, has perfected the study of launeddas with maestro Luigi Lai; with his projects he plays in international festivals collaborating, from time to time, with well-known artists.

The program closes on July 2 with the amazing mix of sounds by the Jamal Ouassini Ensemble Med. Greece, Spain, Sicily, Maghreb; the collective brings to the stage Jamal Ouassini, violin, voice and percussion, Vaghelis Merkouris, lute, bouzouki and singing, Alberto Capelli, flamenco guitar and Yassin El Mahi, percussion and voice, for a journey through the colors of the Mediterranean. The fine violinist, born in Tangier and ambassador of world music in the world, has "lent" his sounds to artists such as Battiato and Moni Ovadia: in 2003 he received the CICT UNESCO special prize for the work "Incontro", "for having promoting dialogue between Mediterranean cultures with music". The concerts, free admission, will begin at 21.15.
