Pavia has a new mayor, and he is the Sardinian Michele Lissia.

42 years old, born in Tempio Pausania and raised in Calangianus, he was supported by a "broad camp" made up of the Democratic Party and other lists (M5s, Action, Italia Viva, Alleanza Verdi Sinistra, plus three civic ones).

He won in the first round with over 53% of the votes, triumphing over challengers Alessandro Cantoni, Paolo Walter Cattaneo, Francesco Grisolia and Francesco Signorelli.

Lissia, chosen to represent the city, brings with him some of the characteristics that have contributed to sharing his name: «Probably in me you have seen a person who has always done his best to unite». And working together with the various political parties was one of the most important elements that he carried forward in the name of dialogue.

During the election campaign he had already announced his priorities: «Reopen the Folperti swimming pool and build the middle school in Pavia Ovest».
