"You interior... I'm free" is the title of the photographic exhibition, with images by the photographer Gian Butturini, which will be inaugurated on Thursday, in the Tamuli pavilion (formerly the Mura barracks), of the Center for Cultural Services, thanks to the initiative of Asarp, the Sardinian association for the implementation of psychiatric reform.

The exhibition recounts in images the closure of the psychiatric hospital in Trieste, directed by Franco Basaglia, who commissioned Gian Butturini to tell, with his shots, how the revolutionary practice of liberation and restitution of the dignity and rights of interned people, after the closure of the mental hospital, which sanctioned the transition from internment to deinstitutionalization.

A public debate on the theme "Health and Freedom: a just and necessary fight" is scheduled for Friday in the Tamuli pavilion. Speakers will be Rita Melis, president of Asarp, Giancarlo Zoccheddu, director of the Unla cultural services centre, Gisella Trincas, president of Asarp and national president of Unasam, Tiziano Butturini, of the Gian Butturini association. In the afternoon, coordinated by Roberto Loddo of Asarp, speakers will be Alessandro Montisci, psychiatrist from Asarp, Vito D'Anza, psychiatrist from the national Mental Health coordination, Elio Pitzalis, university student, Tonina Seu from Spi Cgil of Nuoro, Francesco Carta, of Democratic Sardinia medicine, Francesco Nieddu, of the Marghine health defense committee. A debate will follow. There will be audio dialogues with Anna Pau and Gerardo Ferrara. The Local Health Authority of Nuoro and the mayors of Marghine, voluntary associations and social cooperatives are invited to participate.
