Surprise, in a season with a troubled start also due to the many injuries, there are three players of the Sassari team who are in their best season: the full-back Kruslin, the winger Treier and the full-back Ousmane Diop.

The figures shown by the center Osumane Diop in this championship are respectable: in 18 minutes on the court as a substitution before Onuaku and then Stephens, the twenty-three-year-old Senegalese with an Italian background produces 8 points with a very good 61.6% in shooting from two and grabbed 5.6 rebounds. To understand: in the past championship Diop averaged 6 points and 3.6 rebounds playing 15 minutes. The white and blue center has acquired confidence in shooting and rebounding, even if he tends to mess up every now and then.

Improvements are also expected from winger Kaspar Treier, born in 1999, who also missed summer preparation after a right elbow injury sustained in August in a national team match. The Italian-trained Estonian player is traveling to 5.6 points in just under 13 minutes with excellent shooting percentages: 61.5% in two-pointers and 50% in three-pointers. To this he adds 2.6 rebounds.

The most unexpected data is the one concerning the Croatian Filip Kruslin, also because he is going to be 34 years old. Forced by teammates' injuries to average 27 minutes, he responded with 9.5 points and 50% in 3-pointers that make him a Top Five shooter in the league. Also 2.3 assists for Kruslin who instead has 34% in two-pointers as a negative figure. It should also be noted that the Croatian full-back has been traveling in double figures for six games, which is not a little considering the enormous expense in defense, where coach Bucchi usually entrusts him with the most dangerous opponent full-back.
