After the binge of medals and the historic gold in curling, today is a bitter day for the blue colors at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The biggest disappointment comes from Michela Moioli, the snowboarder from Bergamo who is a great favorite in the cross and left the scene in the semifinals. The blue, reigning Olympic champion, dominated the initial qualifications, the second round and the quarter-finals, always passing the round with the best time ever.

For the passage to the final it was necessary to be among the first two, with a mistake she let herself be overtaken and was no longer able to recover, crossing the finish line in third place.

Disappointment also for the women's short track relay, who left the scene due to a fall, while in the men's 1,500 meters Confortola grabbed the final but finished tenth. Good news comes from the usual Arianna Fontana, who has passed the batteries of 1000 meters.

In alpine skiing, Petra Vhlova's splendid comeback is worth noting: the Slovakian with a great second heat recovered from seventh place by winning gold in a race that went badly for the Italians, who, however, did not have many pretensions.

Meanwhile, there is expectation for Sofia Goggia, who has arrived in Beijing and is training, but her participation in the competitions is not certain. "Hi fans, how are we doing? I'm nagging, I don't expose myself so much. But come on, slowly", he wrote on his Instagram profile.

It is very likely that he will skip the Super-G scheduled for Friday to give everything in the downhill on Tuesday 15, a discipline in which Goggia holds the Olympic title and is the leader in the World Cup standings.
