The implementation of the principle of Insularity passes through the involvement of business organizations of the category , at regional and national level.

An aspect on which the special commission for Insularity chaired by Michele Cossa is at work, which today met the representatives of the most important associations: Confindustria, Coldiretti, Copagri, CIA, Confartigianato, Confapi, CNA and Lega Coop.

The goal, explained Cossa, is "to sensitize the national organizations, which sit at the table with the government, on the enormous potential repercussions that the constitutional reform entails".

Also for this reason, each president was given a summary document on the battle for insularity , together with the report of the Bruno Leoni Institute which for Sardinia estimated a cost of the gap equal to 5,700 euros per capita.

The meeting was also attended by some members of the special commission: the leader of the Progressives Francesco Agus , of the Mixed Roberto Caredda , of Forza Italia Angelo Cocciu , and the director of the Democratic Party Giuseppe Meloni .

Territorial continuity , infrastructural gap and the energy issue are the first test beds on the front of the implementation of the principle.

"We expect a lot from the new Parliament and the new Government - added Cossa - also because some important matches require strong action at European level, first of all in terms of the application of the rules on the protection of competition, crucial for our territorial continuity ".

Precisely for this reason, he concluded, "the support of the leaders of the exponential associations of the national economic world is crucial so that the recovery of the island gap and the guarantee of all territories the same opportunities becomes an issue that concerns the entire national community, and not only the 'unfortunate' who suffer the consequences ".
