Total reopening to the public for the Lyric theater of Cagliari.

The appointment is for Thursday 28 and Friday 29 October (at 20.30), with the concert of the orchestra conducted by maestro Dmitri Jurowskisi.

The two evenings, entitled “Il Lirico al 100%”, are the fifth appointment of the “Autumn in music 2021” review. The musical program includes: Overture in C minor for Genoveva, op. 81 by Robert Schumann; Suite n. 4 in G major "Mozartiana" op. 61 by Pëtr Il'ič Tchaikovsky; Second Symphony in A minor op. 55 by Camille Saint-Saëns.

Genoveva op. 81 is one of the three compositions for musical theater, together with the incidental music for Byron's Manfred and the Scenes for Goethe's Faust, which Robert Schumann wrote in 1847 and of which the overture remains one of the most appreciated and successful parts for the purely romantic character and for the completeness, in short, of all the themes of the musical drama.

The Suite n. 4 in G major was composed in 1887 and is known by the title of Mozartiana that Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij himself gave it, in homage to the genius of Salzburg and on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the premiere of Don Giovanni in 1787. orchestration of 4 lesser-known pieces by Mozart which, through his work, Tchaikovsky wished to make known and appreciated better.

The Second Symphony in A minor, composed in 1859 by a twenty-four-year-old Camille Saint-Saëns, was performed for the first time on 25 March 1860 in Paris and was greeted by a wide success with audiences and critics who enhanced its frankly innovative character both in form than in the musical structure.

The show has a total duration of about 60 minutes and does not include an interval.

The Lyric Theater of Cagliari therefore reopens the hall and all the foyers entirely to the public (only on the occasion of this concert the first four rows of the stalls must be excluded to allow the right distancing between the audience and the orchestral complex, since this the last one will be positioned at the same level as the audience) and ensures a full return to normal after the most difficult days of the emergency from Covid-19.

The "Autumn in Music 2021" review offers 30 evenings of shows (until December 23), divided into 3 symphonic-choral concerts and 2 symphonic concerts (all repeated the following day), 1 ballet (7 performances) and 2 operas ( 7 performances), unusual but certainly welcome titles that are performed in two new productions.

Access to the theater is allowed only to spectators with green certification (Green Pass), with the exception of persons under the age of 12 and those exempt on the basis of appropriate medical certification that the theater staff is obliged to to verify.

To allow the verification services to be carried out in time for the start of the show, the public can arrive at the entrance well in advance (the opening is scheduled from 60 minutes before the start of the show).
