On Monday 25 March, from 7 am, in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Lunissanti will be repeated with an unchanged rite, an evocative event of faith and tradition, unique in the world, which opens the rites of Holy Week.

The procession has its history in the medieval past of the city and has taken place, for centuries, with the same program: departure at dawn, arrival in Tergu in the late morning, departure from the Basilica of Our Lady of Tergu in the early afternoon and return to the city for the night procession in the historic center.

Attending the Lunissanti means immersing yourself in an atmosphere of profound spirituality and reliving a bygone era. The theatricality of the gestures and the solemnity of the procession recall the passion of Christ and strengthen the faith of the participants. A very heartfelt event for those who want to live a unique and meaningful experience. An opportunity to learn about the history and traditions of Castelsardo characterized by a profound religiosity.
