The summer activity of the Warm Plan of the Ministry of Health restarts to prevent the negative effects of heat on health, especially in the most fragile people. And Cagliari will again be included in the list of monitored cities, together with Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Campobasso, Catania, Civitavecchia, Florence, Frosinone, Genoa, Latina, Messina, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Perugia, Pescara , Reggio Calabria, Rieti, Rome, Turin, Trieste, Venice, Verona and Viterbo.

The heat wave bulletins are prepared by the Lazio Region SSR Epidemiology Department, as part of the national operating system for forecasting and preventing the effects of heat on health, coordinated by the Ministry. They are published, like every year, from Monday to Friday, starting from May 20th to September 20th, as indicated by the director of prevention of the Ministry of Health, Francesco Vaia, in a circular sent to the Regions.

The operating system is located in 27 Italian cities and allows you to identify, on a daily basis, for each specific urban area, the weather and climate conditions that pose a risk to the health, especially of vulnerable subjects: the elderly, chronically ill people, children, pregnant women.
