This month offers a rich selection of seasonal fruit and vegetables , first and foremost the strawberry , queen of the rosaceae family, not only delicious, but also a fantastic source of vitamin C which plays an essential role for the immune system and our skin . Second but not least in importance and taste, cherries are certainly among the most nutritious and healthy fruits. In fact, they contain powerful antioxidants, anthocyanins, capable of reducing the risk of heart disease and premature aging.
Peas certainly cannot be missing from the joint podium, an excellent source of vegetable proteins that omnivores, vegetarians and vegans can agree on.
