The Municipality of Guamaggiore cashed a check for 350,000 euros for investments in the environment and archeology.

The municipal administration has approved the projects aimed at the recovery and valorisation of the environmental and archaeological heritage of its territory from a tourist point of view. These are two important lines of intervention financed by the regional councilorship for planning, budgeting and land use.

The first funded project envisages an expenditure of 200,000 euros for the completion of the Nuraghe Barru exhibit center (the Nuragic palace on the border with Guasila has been the focus of various study and research initiatives for some years), where the interventions will be carried out the improvement of the accessibility and usability of the internal and external spaces of the area. The structure is also the subject of municipal co-financing intended for the completion of the ground floor and the setting up of the exhibition areas.

The second project concerns the pine forest in Pardu Siddu where, with an investment of 150,000 euros, pedestrian paths, spaces and structures equipped for leisure and recreational breaks will be set up. "We are continuing our many projects linked to the rediscovery of ancient history and the relaunch of cultural tourism", commented Mayor Nello Cappai.
