A tourist and cultural center to enhance the nuragic palace of Barru. This is the goal of the municipal administration of Guamaggiore which, in collaboration with the Landscape Protection Service of the Region and with the Archaeological Superintendency, is carrying out the ambitious project of recovery from a tourist point of view of the entire archaeological area located on the border with Guasila. .

On Monday, February 28, the deadlines to participate in the tender for the assignment of the third excavation campaign on the important archaeological area expire.

"For some time we have started a long process of enhancing our territory for tourism purposes, the flagship of the offer to visitors will be represented by the Barru area", explains the mayor Nello Cappai.

In addition to the continuation of the excavation campaign, the project involves the construction of a Service Center, the arrangement of the square in front of the structure where the new parking area will be located, the pedestrian walkway from the entrance gate and the planting of native species around the building. .

The aim is to encourage tourism development in the entire area and at the same time create new employment, especially for young people.
