Grazia Deledda, in Santu Lussurgiu a reading in memory of the Nobel writer

Santu Lussurgiu will also celebrate Grazia Deledda , on the occasion of the deleddiano year which will end in September.
Skill 4life Revolution and Malik Association, in collaboration with the Pro Loco and the Culture Center of Luxembourg, have organized a reading , with music, of passages taken from his most important novels .
"It will be an important moment to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a Nuoro of other times and relive the disturbances and feelings of the protagonists of the novels who described our land in a unique and overwhelming way", explain Rita Migheli president of the Pro Loco and Maria Arca president of the Culture Center.
The new show by the company Le Voci del Tempo "Grazia" is a surprising musical journey through the literature of Grazia Deledda , the first Italian woman to receive the Nobel Prize, in 1926.
"Life, death, love, hate, nature, magic, misery, wealth, destiny alternate in the stories selected by 'The Voices of Time', which reproduce them in an intense pace made up of original songs - taken from the same stories, composed and performed by the Turin musician and singer Mario Congiu - and readings by the writer and performer Marco Peroni from Ivrea ”, explain the curators of the project.
Mario Congiu comments: “Together with Marco we built the show organizing the order of the pieces and selected the parts of the stories we wanted to read live. Above all, hoping to do something that Deledda would have liked: not to talk about her or think aloud about her literature, but to bring her stories and characters to life once more. Honoring his work simply by making it heard ”.
Marco Peroni specifies: “In the long months that we have lived closed in the house, Mario and I have started to study each on his own. Neither concerts on the balconies, nor online concerts, so much silence. We followed parallel paths and we discovered later that they were parallel ”.
Active for over ten years and with hundreds of live performances behind it all over Italy, Le Voci del Tempo return to their audience by attending as always the meeting of music and words : in particular, bringing original music into their wide repertoire , the stories of a great Italian writer, the timeless echo of the deepest popular culture.
The appointment, therefore, is for Sunday 17 July at 8 pm in the public gardens in front of the library dedicated to the great Sardinian writer.
The project is supported by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from the Family Policies Fund, which aims to strengthen the recovery of learning and the sociality of minors through the development of life skills (emotional, relational and cognitive) with methodologies and approaches such as nature therapy and outdoor education.
