Italian football mourns Antonio Juliano , Napoli legend between the 60s and 70s, with whom he played over 500 games in seventeen seasons. “Totonno”, this was his nickname, was 80 years old (he would have turned 81 on Boxing Day), and had been battling various health problems for some time.

Captain and icon of the Neapolitan club, Juliano was also a pillar of the national team : with the blue shirt he achieved the historic European Championship of 1968 , characterized above all by the goals of Gigi Riva.

At the end of his career he then became manager of Napoli: in the role of general manager, he completed some extraordinary goals, destined to mark the history of the Azzurri and Italian football. Above all, the names of the Dutch Krol stand out and above all that of Diego Armando Maradona , taken from Barcelona in 1984.
