"My position remains that of a parent. When you go out for a drink, it's always better not to take the car." Speaking to Radio Anch'io lo sport, Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini returned to the story of the car accident involving Rossoblu and Italian national team player Daniel Maldini.
"We've been following Maldini for several years," Giulini added, "and we know he's an incredible talent who hadn't yet reached his full potential. This summer, we found ourselves in a somewhat unpleasant situation with one of our players who felt he wasn't earning enough, and we successfully replaced him with Maldini."
Regarding Cagliari's strong run, Giulini added: "We'd like to maintain a better position in the table than last year. Now we need to be good at managing the situation."
