Giorgio Oppi: in the hundreds to pay homage to him in the Regional Council

“He was a unique person, from other times, of great consistency and seriousness - he said outside the funeral home - Oppi was very determined, sometimes even brusque in his manner but with the problems of the people of Sardinia at heart. Everyone will miss him because he was a leader who loved this land. He became a parliamentarian, he was sitting next to me but he suffered because he liked to do politics in Sardinia, dealing with the problems of the people and the last ones. The phone calls he made to me were about human affairs. This was Giorgio. The last phone call he made to me was after the administrative office, proud of having achieved an extraordinary result ”.
The funeral home will close at 2.30pm. The funeral will be celebrated at 16.30 in the basilica of Bonaria.
