Giorgio Napolitano in "critical condition".

From what we understand, the state of health of the President of the Republic Emeritus - who turned 98 in June - has worsened in the last few hours.

In May 2022 the former Head of State underwent abdominal surgery at the Spallanzani hospital in Rome, while in 2018, following a sudden illness, he underwent a complex operation on his aorta at the San Camillo hospital.
