«In Sardinia we still don't know how it ended» .

Giorgia Meloni from Abruzzo talks about the Sardinian elections and while waiting for the final results, still not available 10 days after the vote, she refuses to take Alessandra Todde's victory for granted . Which also makes it a game to gloss over an alleged Sardinia effect on the Abruzzo regionals which will be held on Sunday 10 March.

Speaking at the Chamber of Commerce in Teramo for the election campaign, the prime minister said: «Sardinia effect? We have yet to see it because we haven't seen how it ended. But I am very optimistic for Abruzzo."

Even Forza Italia leader and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, in Chieti, downplays the possible "Sardinia effect": « On the island the consensus for the centre-right is higher than that for the centre-left, and in Abruzzo there is no separate vote ».

Elly Schlein , for her part, underlining the need to present ourselves united in the next electoral rounds, almost responds to the prime minister by claiming: «We won together in Sardinia and I hope also in Abruzzo» .

THE COUNCIL

In the meantime, Alessandra Todde is already working for the council, she wants to be ready when the proclamation takes place. At least half will be women, skills and curricula in specific sectors will count .

Bilateral meetings with the political forces will begin in the next few days, which will stop for the closing of the electoral campaign in Abruzzo on 8 March, where the president-in-pector of the Sardinia Region will also speak.

The staff confirm that "all the political forces elected to the Council will have representation" in the future executive , which under the current law provides for 12 departments. The Democratic Party will obviously assert its electoral weight, claiming vice-presidency of the council and presidency of the regional council, as well as 3-4 departments, two or three departments of M5s. The others to Progressisti, Avs, Sinistra Futura and Orizzonte in Comune. It remains to be seen whether a box will be assigned to the president's civic list.

Obviously, to know the weights of the various lists and assign the boxes accordingly, we must wait for the official proclamation of the 60 elected.
