The actor Gianni Cavina died last night in Bologna at the age of 81.

The news is given by director Pupi Avati, who has directed Cavina in numerous films including the unpublished “Dante”, expected in theaters in September.

Born in Bologna 81 years ago, ill for some time, Cavina had won the Silver Ribbon in 1997 for his interpretation in the Bolognese director's “Festival”.

"He had the qualities of a complete actor - added producer Antonio Avati to AndKronos - he could go from the most comic and exaggerated parts, such as those he played in our first films, to very heartfelt and important roles, which he brought to our films. but also in those of other important directors, from Luigi Comencini to Marco Bellocchio. There is a film by Pupi that Rai has and which I hope it will broadcast to remember it, 'Il Signor Diavolo', where he plays a beautiful role ", concluded the producer.

His participation in "Regalo di Natale", also by Pupi Avati, alongside Diego Abatantuono is also famous.
