On Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Sassari, there will be a meeting with the writer Gavino Ledda as part of the activities of the University of the Three Ages (UTE), Sassari section. The theme of the evening is “The education of a shepherd”.
The story of Gavino will be retraced, known above all through his main literary work, Padre Padrone, translated into 46 languages and successfully transposed into the film version by the Taviani brothers. The literary production of Gavino Ledda includes a series of other works including novels, poems, short stories. The writer will answer questions and curiosities of those present.
The activities of the Sassari section of the University of the Three Ages focus on many fields of action: from the literary and humanistic to the scientific and socio-economic fields. The programs attract growing interest from the members, whose number has almost doubled in the current academic year.
