While Meta Catania is pampering its Sardinian star Michele Podda , other teams in the Serie A futsal can enjoy their sons of Sardinia. Carrying the name of their island around Italy, from north to south, there are also four other soccer players: Riccardo Siddi (Ecocity Genzano), Marco Pasculli (L84 Torino), Lorenzo Etzi (Feldi Eboli) and Jacopo Ugas (Came Treviso).

For Siddi this is the first experience with a Serie A team. The 2001-born player, after several seasons spent with Leonardo in which he developed as a player, catching the eye of several clubs in the top division, arrived at Ecocity Genzano during the summer transfer market. «I'm feeling great in the team, with all the champions that I have as teammates I can only learn a lot and grow more and more», the words of the young Cagliari player to the official channel of his club. «The coach gives me the right confidence and I will slowly try to find more and more space. I speak a lot with the coach and he has always explained his choices to me. I can only be ready at all times and give my all on all occasions». The full-back, together with his team, is in fourth place in the standings with 22 total points and has collected 11 appearances, standing out in particular in the match against Roma . Despite recovering from a small strain in the iliopsoas of his right leg, he will return to the field this evening against Benevento .

If Siddi is a rookie in the category, Pasculli is a true veteran. Goalkeeper, born in 1991, he has been playing in Serie A for many years now. His adventure began with Città di Sestu , then wearing the jerseys of Città di Montesilvano , Napoli C5 , Real Rieti and Feldi Eboli . With the latter he became Champion of Italy in the 22/23 season , before moving to L84 Torino , where he currently plays. During this season he has made 11 appearances, three of which as a starter against Sporting Sala Consilina , Vitulano Drugstore Manfredonia and Active Network . And it was against Active that he was decisive with his saves, allowing his team to win 2-1. He is fifth in the standings with 20 points in the bag. Tonight, for the player from Sassari, a new challenge against Came Treviso .

Third season in Serie A underway for Etzi who, after his experiences with 360 GG Monastir (championship 22/23, where he showed off his skills) and Sandro Abate (championship 23/24), moved to Feldi Eboli in the summer. For him, among the young talents of this discipline, now in the circle of the national team for two years, a somewhat unlucky season: after having stamped the card seven times, crowning his debut with the Volpi jersey with a goal against Active Network , in mid-November he had to put his season on hold. The 2002-born full-back had to deal with an injury (a torn left quadriceps) that kept him off the parquet for four days. Back among the players called up for the match against Ecocity Genzano of his friend and former teammate at Leonardo Riccardo Siddi , he did not collect any minutes, as he is not yet at 100% of his physical form. His return could however come in tomorrow's match, away, against Vinumitaly Petrarca . In the meantime Etzi and his teammates are enjoying the first position in the standings with 27 points.

Three seasons in Serie A also for Ugas . The 1996 class has worn the jerseys of Nuova Comauto Pistoia (22/23), Olimpia Verona (23/24) and now that of Came Treviso . He too has made a full house of appearances: 11 out of 11 games played. Still no goals for the full-back originally from Monastir who however is a fundamental piece for the Treviso team with his plays and assists. Like his other Sardinian colleagues, Ugas and his teammates are also in the upper half of the table, in eighth place with 15 points. This evening for him there will be a clash with his fellow countryman Pasculli , for an exciting L84 Torino-Came Treviso .

The hope is that all five Sardinian soccer players continue to shine for the rest of the season, bringing the name of Sardinia as high as possible at an Italian and international level. And who knows, maybe to see them all fighting among the best eight in Italy to win the Scudetto 24/25.
