The Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape of Cagliari and the Regional Secretariat of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage are once again joining the “ European Heritage Days ” this year. From Wednesday 14 September to 22 December recently completed projects, construction sites and works in progress will be presented to the public. Exceptionally - it was explained this morning during the press conference to present the program - it will be possible to visit archaeological sites and monuments that are not usually accessible to the public .

THE PROGRAM - We start from Suelli on 14 September : the restoration works involved the huts and bastion of the Nuraghe Piscu . The presentation of the results and a visit to the construction site are expected. Further south, the latest excavations have brought to light the remains of the Punic and Roman settlement of Bithia : it will be possible to take a look during the guided tours scheduled for Saturday 17 at Domus de Maria . Saturday 24 double appointment : in Oristano with the past and the future of the former convent of San Francesco, and in Cagliari with a conference on the painter Bartolomeo Castagnola . The next day visits to the construction site in Pula : access to the two thermal complexes of Nora will be allowed. Also on Sunday 25, in Siddi , presentation of the restoration of the wooden statuette of the Virgin and Child known as Sa Gloriosa.

In October we go to Fordongianus with the latest finds from the Roman Baths of Caddas . In December, the 3rd, presentation and visit to the works of the cathedral of Oristano and to the Archivietto. On the same day, in Cagliari, presentation of the puppets and marionettes of Is Mascareddas with a theatrical representation.
