Until 2014 he was a thermo-plumber, today he won the international pizza championship which took place in Tuscany (Il Magnifico trophy, eighth edition) with the compliments of the starred chefs of the Il Peperoncino Rosso guide. The teacher is Giuseppe Viola, a 54 year old from Muravera .

For him first place overall in the regional pizza category and in Neapolitan pizza. «I prepared - explained Viola - the shepherd's pizza with different cheeses, bacon and porcini mushrooms . A combination that was suggested to me by my partner, Emanuela." Viola then won with the classic Neapolitan pizza, finishing ahead of a Neapolitan colleague. The jury voted without knowing the identity of the pizza chefs.

A great satisfaction for the maestro from Muravera, owner of the small pizzeria Zio Ciro. In 2014, in fact, after the crisis that hit his company (he was forced first to fire employees and then to close permanently) he was already ready to emigrate to Germany to find a job .

Before leaving, to earn some money, he spent a season as a pizza chef. It was his first time but the pizzas did not go unnoticed. An entrepreneur from Muravera, Sergio Cuccu, after tasting them, asked him to stay in his land and try the pizzas: "I'll give you the oven." Today the international award.
