Francesca Neri has returned to talk about her illness, chronic interstitial cystitis , which changed her life, also forcing her to reduce her work commitments.

"These are my lips, with so many scars. I made them open to remove the silicone balls. Today I take care of myself from the inside, having understood how important prevention and a healthy lifestyle are", explained the actress. lifelong companion of colleague Claudio Amendola .

"Claudio saved me. Crisis, quarrels and very hard days. He has always been there. Today I am much better, I am much more serene and I have learned to listen to my body", he added.

The 57-year-old interpreter recounted her pathology, after years of silence, in the book “Come carne viva”.
For years Neri underwent medical examinations, in search of a diagnosis for her malaise and explained that she had tried many treatments to get better: urology, acupuncture, ayurveda, nutropuncture, ozone therapy.

Interstitial cystitis is a chronic inflammatory condition of the bladder that mostly affects women. The causes of this syndrome are not known and there is currently no definitive cure.
