For Valentina Murtas, art is a way to give back to her city . This morning, the young artist from Oristano donated four of her works to the Municipality of Oristano and the local tourist board, transforming into canvases the bond with Sardinia that has developed after years spent away from the island .

The delivery took place at Palazzo Campus Colonna, where Mayor Massimiliano Sanna received the three works destined for the Municipality, while Pro Loco President Ilaria Canu accepted the painting donated to the association. The works are part of the "Pintadu a tie" collection, a project born from the rediscovery of the identity and memory of the Oristano area.

Valentina Murtas, 24, uses lines and colors to convey emotions, belonging, and symbols of Sardinian tradition. The three works donated to the Municipality are "Su Componidori," "Sa Janna," dedicated to the Tower of San Cristoforo, and "Sa Sorti," featuring the eight-pointed star. "Elianora," depicting the judge Eleonora d'Arborea, was donated to the Pro Loco. All the works are tempera on canvas. "The goal of the project," explains the artist, "is to promote and raise awareness of Sardinia and Oristano beyond the island." The project also continues online through the artist's personal website, designed as a virtual museum dedicated to the images, emotions, and identity of the region.
