The winners of the Forum Traiani National Literary Prize have been announced. The jury, composed of Giovanna Caltagirone, Monica Farnetti, Marella Giovannelli, Marco Manotta, Mario Lucio Marras and chaired by Massimo Onofri, Director of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sassari, selected the winning works of the 1st edition : for the "Narrative" section, the first prize was awarded to Concetta D'Angeli for the novel "Le ruinose" (The branch and the leaf editions, 2021), for the "Nonfiction" to Bruno Pischedda for "Satta, the masterpiece infinite. Memory and mysteries on 'Judgment day' "(Carocci, 2020) and for Poetry to Bruno Tognolini for the collection" Rime buie "(Salani Editore, 2021).

The special jury prize went to Roberta Franchi for the three-volume essay “From the great mother to the mother. Motherhood in the classical and Christian world: myths and models ", (Edizioni dell'Orso, 2019). Lifetime Achievement and Memory Award to Professor Sandro Maxia , a leading figure in the life of the University of Cagliari in terms of research, teaching and institutional responsibilities, who passed away in April.

With the closing of the call, last February, the record participation of 432 authors was registered, of which 426 were admitted, from all regions of Italy and 12 European countries. The awards ceremony will take place in Fordongianus on 7 August .
