The demonstration for the 40th Regatta of the Vela Latina started yesterday in Stintino, Friday 28 April, on the right foot.

At 5 pm, Mayor Rita Vallebella placed a plaque near the Old Port bearing the words: "Stintino, Port-Museum of Vele Latine" to recall the importance that the ports of the tourist village have in keeping alive the memory of this important Mediterranean nautical tradition. On this occasion, the Sea Culture Village was opened in Piazza Berlinguer.

Today, Saturday 29, from 17 to 19 the annual appointment is renewed with the special cancellation of the Postal Journey organized by the Italian Naval League Gulf of Asinara section in collaboration with Poste Italiane. Again the Naval League opens the Open Day during which visitors can ask for information on membership and on the activities carried out by the LNI, including sailing school for adults and children, rowing for adults and children, social sailing, solidarity events, conferences and conferences.

This was followed by the meeting with the Northern Sardinia Flag and Agris on the theme of "Characterization of artisanal fishing in Northern Sardinia" . The Porchetta festival, street food and the concert by the Bonaventura-Peghin duo will surround the day. Tomorrow, Sunday 30 April at 5 pm, there will be a "Round Table" on the history of the Vela Latina of Stintino and the shipwrights who built and rigged them. On the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the Latin Sailing Regatta, the Culturefestival kicks off with two appointments included among the events organised.

The music festival organized by the Sardinia Pro Arte association, under the artistic direction of the composer and violinist Simone Pittau, in Largo Cala d'Oliva will propose a concert by the Duo Di Bonaventura – Peghin. A journey through the sounds of jazz, folk and the Mediterranean in the company of Daniele di Bonaventura, a refined artist and international point of reference for the bandoneòn, his instrument, and the guitarist from Alghero Marcello Peghin, a musician who boasts an elegant technique and a superior musical taste. Also tomorrow, Sunday 30 April, at 9 pm in Largo Cala d'Oliva, it is the turn of the first international guests of this edition of the Culturefestival: Louise Marshall and her Brethrern (Louise Marshall on vocals, Lisa Grahame on sax, Ashley Kingsley on keyboards, Mike Brown on guitar, Steve Walters on bass and Carlos Hercules on drums). Soul, funky but also jazz and blues for an evening that will see musicians on stage backed by collaborations with giants of international music, from George Michael to Phil Collins.
