Freddy Rincon, former Colombian football star, captain of the national team and midfielder of Naples and Real Madrid, has died.
The 55-year-old former footballer died in Cali, southwestern Colombia, where he was hospitalized in intensive care after being involved in a terrible car accident on Monday, a violent collision between a bus and the van he was traveling in.
“Despite all the efforts made by our medical team, patient Freddy Eusebio Rincon Valencia died today”, announced the Imabanaco clinic in Cali, where he was being treated.
Rincon played for Napoli in the 1994-95 season, scoring 7 goals in 28 appearances.
