Forestas Case: "If the center-right does it, it's corrupt; if the M5S makes a mistake, is it acting in good faith?"
The Anti-Corruption Authority declared the appointment of the sole director invalid due to incompatibility. Piga (FdI) lashed out. And Forza Italia: "Dozens of consultants were overpaid, and the Region didn't notice the mistake."Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
"Todde once again demonstrates his disregard for the law and his inability to choose collaborators and managers to govern the regional system." This was a harsh attack from Fausto Piga, deputy group leader of the Brothers of Italy party in the regional council, commenting on the decision by the regional Anti-Corruption Authority to nullify the appointment of Salvatore Piras, sole director of Forestas, due to incompatibility. Furthermore, the measure announces the initiation of proceedings to determine any liability among those who made the appointment, namely the members of the council.
For Piga, this fact denotes "an incompetence that leads to administrative disorder and institutional chaos: just think that now there is the fire prevention campaign to carry out and this further mess was not needed, it seems like the plot of a horror film."
"Who knows what Giuseppe Conte's comment will be at the 5S regional assembly," the Melonian reiterates. "The Five Stars, as always, will use double standards: when the center-right makes a mistake, it's corrupt, mafia-like, everyone should resign, even for a simple notice of investigation, which doesn't mean they're guilty. When they make a mistake, they're always acting in good faith, downplaying any accusations against them."
Criticism also came from the Forza Italia council group: the declaration of nullity of the appointment "regardless of the personal and professional qualities of the interested party, which are not in question" which "highlights a much more serious problem: the superficiality with which the power of appointment is exercised. A sophisticated investigation was not necessary to identify such a clear cause of incompatibility," namely Piras's having served, in the year prior to his appointment, as general manager of a company that received money from the Region. "It would have been enough to simply read the law," Forza Italia members say, "and instead today we find ourselves faced with yet another short-sighted decision."
administrative circuit, with a strategic agency left without leadership right at the start of the most delicate season, that of the fires."
It is striking, and not a little, according to the Azzurri, "that in a Region that employs dozens of highly paid consultants, not a single one was able to detect such a blatant incompatibility in time."
