Three Sardinian teams are awaiting a repechage in the national five-a-side football championships. With registration closing yesterday evening, the chances of promotion for the island clubs that have applied for repechage have increased: Ichnos Sassari and Monastir in the men's Serie B, and Decimoputzu in the women's Serie B.
The Futsal Division has released the number of applications received from eligible clubs, with Covisod due to examine the documentation and issue a decision by Tuesday. For the men's leagues, 13 applications were received in Serie A (the roster will consist of 14). In the women's league, 12 eligible clubs have applied for Serie A registration (the roster allows for 14). Thirty-four clubs have applied for Serie B registration, including one for a repechage to Serie A, with a maximum of 48 teams, which, however, cannot be reached. Along with Decimoputzu, who finished second in Serie C last season, six other clubs from regional leagues have applied for repechage .
