Sardinia is the great protagonist at the "Firenze Archeofilm". The documentary "Franco Mezzena, archeology told with a smile", a production of ArcheoFoto, made by Andrea Fenu (director of Videolina and Tcs, among his works "40° Parallelo" with Giacomo Serreli) and Nicola Castangia, triumphed at the international festival organized by the magazine "Archeologia Viva".

A prestigious recognition for a project that strengthens the cultural bridge between the island and the Aosta Valley. Attention is paid to the discovery in Aosta, in 1969, of the megalithic area of Saint Martin de Corleans, now a consolidated museum reality. In the first images of the docufilm, the meeting between the director of the Menhir Museum of Laconi, Giorgio Murru, who got to know the Aosta Valley site as a student, and the archaeologist Franco Mezzena, who gave a fundamental impulse to the research and the extraordinary discovery of the megalithic area.

There is a very close relationship between Aosta and Laconi which led, at the end of last year, to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two museums. The pact provides for joint actions to enhance prehistoric statuary. In the 2018 edition of Firenze Archeofilm, another work by Archeofoto Sardegna won, ex aequo, the most important prize. On that occasion, the film "Ercole Contu and the discovery of the Tomb of the Tetrapod Vases", directed by Andrea Fenu and artistic direction by Nicola Castangia, was in the limelight. Now another recognition and new glory for the two directors and for Giorgio Murru, present at the awards ceremony in the Florentine film theater "La Compagnia".
