«The bridge over the Strait? Why not a bridge from Elba to Sardinia?". The laughable "proposal" comes from "Viva Rai2!", the program hosted by Fiorello, who together with his "partners" Biggio and Casciari commented with his usual irony on the ongoing debate on the controversial infrastructure between Calabria and Sicily, strongly supported by the minister and leader of the League Matteo Salvini.

«Those from development in the South don't give the money for the bridge, they want the development money for Sicily and so on. Put on the wax, take off the wax...", joked Fiorello. Adding: «Salvini then said “enough, I'll do the bridge anyway, even elsewhere!”. So, maybe it will do it from Corsica to Genoa, from the Island of Elba to Sardinia. Or from Macerata to Croatia...".

Speaking of the island, Fiorello did not fail to comment on the latest news on the possible sites to create the national nuclear waste repository , another hot topic. «They have identified 51 areas suitable for disposal, from Lazio to Sardinia», joked Fiorello, and then made things worse: «More waste for everyone, we'll take some waste from citizens. They'll put them here, under the glass, we'll charge the phones by putting them on our heads. In Rome Tor Tre Teste will become Tor Sei Teste!».
