Flags, banners, applause and chants of fans at the funeral of Carlo Mazzone, the dean of Italian football coaches , who died last August 19 at the age of 86.

The last farewell in Ascoli Piceno , where he resided, in the church of San Francesco, where a crowd of fans and citizens gathered to hug their families in pain.

Also present were the mayor of Ascoli Marco Fioravanti and the president of the Region Francesco Acquaroli.

Above the coffin, in the church, the shirts of some teams that Mazzone led were placed, including that of Brescia.

Also at the funeral was a delegation from Cagliari, which Mazzone coached from 1991 to 1993 and in the 1996-97 season, leading the rossoblùs into the UEFA Cup.

The Sardinian club was represented by the Primavera technical coordinator, Roberto Muzzi . The church was also packed with many other well-known faces from the world of football, such as Serse Cosmi, Walter Novellino and Enrico Nicolini.
