It will be an evening entirely dedicated to the family of the great Cagliari star of Italian cinema, Amedeo Nazzari, which will be held tonight, Tuesday 9 April, at 7 pm at the Cinema Odissea in Cagliari.

The protagonist is the daughter of the unforgettable actor, Evelina Nazzari, who will present her book "Memories in shreds" , published at the beginning of the year by Edizioni Sabinae, in dialogue with Sergio Naitza, film critic, director and for many years editor-in-chief of the pages of culture and entertainment of L'Unione Sarda.

The initiative, with free entry, is promoted by the Società Umanitaria - Cineteca Sarda of Cagliari in collaboration with the publishing house directed by Simone Casavecchia. At the end of the literary part, the film “Processo alla città” by Luigi Zampa, a 1952 film starring Amedeo Nazzari, will be screened.

Evelina Nazzari tells her story, and tells her origins, drawing inspiration from a real moment of her existence, in the form of a wandering between invention, autobiography and memory.

In a painful transition phase of her life, engaged in the difficult task of rebuilding herself after a serious bereavement and a separation, the author, struggling with the need to eliminate old papers, finds her school diary from the seventies.

It is the starting point from which, over the span of two centuries, with frequent returns to the present and along an apparently erratic path, personal memories and fragments of the history of a cosmopolitan family that embraces Italy, France, Greece and Turkey.

All seasoned with episodes from the life and career of his father Amedeo and his mother Irene, also an actress, and with reflections on adolescence, the human condition, the prospect of decline.
