At the European Padel Championships underway at the Tennis Club Cagliari today it is the turn of the start of the direct elimination phase, with the main challenges of the quarter-finals for the positions from first to eighth place and the others from ninth to sixteenth. Marcela Ferrari's Italy comes to the match having won both the men's and women's groups with maximum points and having won all their matches 3-0.

The program. We start at 9 with the women's team, as always happened in the group stage. Italy is on court 2 against Denmark, who finished in second place in Group A behind the favorite Spain, the latter playing against Germany who yesterday lost 3-0 against the Italians in the direct clash for the lead. From first to eighth place, Sweden-Portugal (on the central court) and France-Holland are also played, while from ninth to sixteenth there are Switzerland-Hungary, Belgium-Estonia, Great Britain-Poland and Finland-Lithuania. The afternoon session dedicated to the men starts at 4pm: here the Azzurri will be protagonists on pitch 14 against Sweden, who last night overcame Belgium at the end of a very long series of matches. Spain faces Holland on the central court, Portugal faces Great Britain and France faces Germany for positions 1 to 8, with Monaco-Austria, Belgium-Hungary, Switzerland-Denmark and Poland-Croatia remaining.
