Spain is the first finalist of Euro 2024.
In Monaco the Iberians beat France 2-1 and gain the pass to play for the coveted cup next Sunday against the winner of the match between Holland and England.
Yet France took the lead after just 8 minutes: Mbappè received on the left and delivered a cross to Kolo Muani , who headed it past Unai Simon.
But Spain didn't sit idly by and found the equalizer in the 21st minute with Lamine Yamal . And what a network! The Iberian gem (16 years old) unleashes a wonderful left-footed shot from 25 meters which goes into the top corner after "kissing" the post : an uncatchable feat for Maignan .
Not even four minutes pass and the Red Furies turn it around, with a powerful diagonal from Dani Olmo deflected into his own goal by Koundè .
In the second half, France worked immediately to try to equalize, but Spain defended in an orderly manner and relied on quick counterattacks, also forcing Maignan to take on the role of libero to stop insidious counterattacks.
In the 59th minute France had an opportunity, with a poisonous cross shot from Dembelè , which Unai Simon blocked with his fist, anticipating Mbappè. Then Mbappè himself sends it high from a good position.
Despite trying, France struggled to create real thrills for the Spanish defense. Deschamps then sends Griezmann onto the field first and then Giroud to strengthen the attack.
But the fort of De La Fuente's men did not fall and at the final whistle France returned home and Spain flew to Berlin .
