The 5th Ethno's Literary Festival is dedicating the weekend to female artists. On Friday, at 9 p.m., the "Migaleddu" Multipurpose Center in Martis will host "La signora canta il blues," a recital about Billie Holiday featuring singer Denise Gueye and piano player Maurizio Pulina . The performance is based on the book of the same name, which tells the story of a woman asserting herself in a male-dominated world.
On Saturday in Laerru, Claudia Crabuzza will present her book "The Legacy of the Women of Casa Lussu," which explores the relationship between Joyce Lussu and Giovanna Serri, both essay and narrative.
Also on Saturday, but in Martis, SBANGL presents the reading "Words and Works of Sardinian Women Resistance Fighters," followed by Debora Villa 's show "Long Live Women," which, through laughter and reflection, analyzes the condition of women from times past to today, addressing issues such as misogyny and gender violence.
Ethno's Literary Festival is organized by the Elighe Association.
