Taxes, bureaucracy, safety regulations and employee management, customers to keep close – and others to win over – the budget to close and financing to ask for from the bank: running a business means being at the wheel of a complex machine, even if it is small and already well-oiled.
To help Sardinian companies develop in a solid manner and with a long-term horizon, the US Program was born, an initiative of the L'Unione Sarda group in collaboration with excellent universities such as the University of Cagliari, the Sda Bocconi School of Management and the Polytechnic of Milan.
The goal
"We want to contribute to the entrepreneurial, managerial and professional growth of our client companies. We know that entrepreneurs have to deal with many problems and pressures every day: bureaucracy, banks, privacy regulations, marketing strategies to decide. All of this represents daily complexity, and we want to simplify it", explained the publisher Sergio Zuncheddu during the presentation of the project, in front of an audience of managers and entrepreneurs. The new US Program responds to three fundamental needs common to all businesses.
The points
At the forefront is training, which is necessary to face the most difficult phases of business management. A calendar of courses and seminars will start in September: the Business School curated by professors from Sda Bocconi, a university that has contributed to the development and enrichment of the economic fabric of Lombardy and all of Italy.
Then the training modules of the Polytechnic of Milan on crucial topics for development (Ai, marketing, e-commerce, tourism, agrifood, craftsmanship and agribusiness) and the lessons of the University of Cagliari to untie the daily knots of companies (privacy, taxes, European tenders and other topics).
Towards the outside
But entrepreneurs also need to talk to customers. "Communication is fundamental," recalled the director of the L'Unione Sarda group's newspapers, Emanuele Dessì, "but it changes with extraordinary speed. Now videos are used on Instagram, but to attack new markets a different experience is needed."
The channels
To be competitive, you need to make yourself known. "Our customers will have the opportunity to communicate all the events of the company's life through advertising spaces in our group's media: the prizes and awards received, the achievement of certifications, the opening of sales outlets and new distribution channels," explained the group's general manager Lia Serreli.
Not just information
Finally, services for growth. Among these is quality information: entrepreneurs cannot lose sight of what is happening on their Island and in the rest of the world. Staying up to date is the only way to avoid being caught unprepared and seize opportunities in a time that is running at three times faster than in the past. On this front, the US Program will offer, in addition to information on the media of the L'Unione Sarda group, a partnership with Il Sole 24 Ore and Le Leggi Illustrate. The package of services offered to customers will also include the VaiOnLine e-commerce platform, the group's marketplace that will now be extended ("with zero commissions", announced Lia Serreli) to all companies based in Sardinia.
With these innovative tools, entrepreneurs, managers and professionals will be able to increase their competitive capacity by improving production processes, organization and turnover, and will be able to manage the complexity they have to face every day at the helm of their companies.
